My favorite part of every family session is capturing the personalities, love, and unique dynamic that make each family special. The goofy, silly smiles. Tickling Dad. Big, giant bear hugs for Mom. And yes, even a few tears from the little ones. Those are the moments that make me love photographing families so much.

Of course, I’ll make sure we get a few holiday card worthy posed photos, too. But if I’m being honest, those fun, in between candid moments will always be my favorites, and hopefully, yours, too.

That first little bit of chill in the air has been sneaking in lately and that means we’re gearing up for our annual fall mini photo sessions and I can’t wait! We’re sticking with Tyler State Park again this year, because we love it there and it’s really just a beautiful spot for family portraits. If you haven’t worked with us in the past, our family sessions are low key, causal, and super fun. We make sure to grab a good mix of candids and posed photos. We will capture everything from the silly faces, giggles, and even the crying, because even though these sessions are mainly used for holiday cards, we hope that you can still look back on these and see a true, genuine glimpse into this moment in your life. It’s all beautiful and worth remembering and sometimes the candid photos are the most beautiful! We can’t wait to see all the familiar and new faces this year!
